Truffles

Truffles are considered jewels in cuisine, and if that is the case, then Abruzzo is the richest region of the world. We can find these natural products well hidden under the soil of oak and beech forests. Abruzzo has long been renowned for the quality of its truffles, which can easily be recognized by their unique scent.

If truth must be told, Abruzzo truffles have been sold for years in stores all over Italy, but they were marked as “local products”.

Luckily today things have changed. Our region is at the very top of the list of producers of the “black diamond”, as they call it, and our truffles are requested and enjoyed all over the world.
