Sulmona
The city of Sulmona is world famous for its sugar coated almonds. It has many beautiful fountains—del Vecchio, Iapasseri, S. Agata, Piazza Maggiore (once Piazza Garibaldi), and a marvelous medieval aqueduct that was brought back to its original glory.
There also are many museums: Sacred Art Diocesan, Archeological and Medieval, Municipal Art Gallery, Natural History (Palazzo Sardi), and in situ.

Blankets from Abruzzo.
Our blankets are a symbol of authenticity in Abruzzo. For many years sheep farming was the only source of income in Europe’s Green Region. Shearing guaranteed high quality wool, that was spun and woven to produce wonderful, warm and colorful blankets.
Truffles Truffles are considered jewels in cuisine, and if that is the case, then Abruzzo is the richest region of the world. We can find these natural products well hidden under the soil of oak and beech forests. Abruzzo has long been renowned for the quality of its truffles, which can easily be recognized by their unique scent.
Honey
If you want to have good honey, you need bees, woods and flowers—all things that are abundant in Abruzzo. With three National Parks and one Regional Park, more than 60% of regional territory is protected.
Cold Cuts
Our cold cuts are delicious for one simple reason: even though lamb is the prince of the local gastronomy, we cannot forget the fact that for ages pigs were the main source of meat, since it provided food for the family throughout the year.
