Scanno, with 2,000 inhabitants, is a prime tourist center, famous for its lake and for being one of the symbol towns of the National Park of Abruzzo.
Recently, Scanno has become part of the Most Beautiful Villages of Italy Club.

Cheese
In Abruzzo, Europe’s Green Region, on the Apennine mountains, we can still find farmers that produce cheese in a traditional way, with the contemporary addition of careful hygiene controls.
