Pratola Peligna
Pratola lies in the Peligna Valley, with about 8,000 inhabitants. For centuries local economy was based on vineyard, wheat, and legume cultivation. One can rightfully say that Pratola Peligna is the Montepulciano d’Abruzzo hub. Already back in the 800’s this town exported tons and tons of grapes to the rest of Italy and Europe, especially to France, where some of the most prestigious wines were made.
Pasta Only when pure water from the Abruzzo mountains is mixed with wheat from the mild planes in the Peligna Valley we can taste what deserves to be called pasta.
