Flour
Pettorano has been famous for its cornfields for as long as can be remembered. This corn has very particular properties that are perfect to make a special kind of flour. The corn is grinded in old stone mills to make a flour that is used to make polenta like no other in Italy. In fact, Pettorano sul Gizio is home to a very popular polenta town festival.
Olive Oil
As soon as they finish picking the olives in the Peligna Valley, they are immediately brought to the oil mill, where they are pressed to obtain an excellent extra virgin olive oil.
