Pescocostanzo Pescocostanzo is the center of the Cinquemiglia Highlands, with 1,200 inhabitants, and it is one of the Most Beautiful Villages of Italy.
The toponym Pescus Costantii was first used at the end of the 11th century. The term Pesco comes from “osco pestlùm,” that became “pesculum” in Latin and Peschio in vulgar Latin. It indicates the bedrock where the town was first established.
